胡善徐先生是我国老一辈杰出的画家。他把毕生精力倾注在油画艺术上,越到老越是勤奋不已,从不停止作画。近些年来每当我去他家,总是看到他手握画笔,面对着一幅尚未画好的画面,有时是一幅尚未完成的风景写生,有时是一幅少女肖像,更多的时候是水果静物。我非常喜爱他的静物画,他的水蜜桃画得非常出色。在他的笔下,那些甜嫩可口的桃子,竟然被塑造得那样新鲜、生动而富于艺术感染力,犹如注入了永恒的生命。
