On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck Japan and triggered a tsunami and nuclear leak. After the disaster, Japan’s major life insurers have said in spite of the insurance terms of accidental death caused by the earthquake and accidental injury insurance except liability or reduction of liability, but for humanitarian considerations, will exceed the contractual obligations, the full amount Provision of accidental death benefit payment. This shows that Japan’s insurance industry has a strong sense of social responsibility in natural disasters. This sense of social responsibility does not happen overnight, it is not spontaneous and formed, but a cumulative system of precipitation.
