Frost heaving and thaw sinking are one of the important risks facing the Mohe-Daqing (Mudanjiang) oil pipeline in permafrost. In order to identify the risks of frost heave and thaw to the oil pipeline, a set of monitoring system of frost heave and thaw settlement was established in the areas of strong frost heave and thaw settlement to collect and transmit data remotely. Based on the principle of liquid pressure, Further elaborates the principle, composition and function of the monitoring system. Through the comparison and analysis of the displacement monitoring data of the Manda oil pipeline for one year, the specific changes of the pipelines in the area for the frost heave and thawing were determined. The maximum vertical displacement of the pipe was calculated by ABAQUS finite element analysis software Caused by the load, according to the specification to determine the pipeline in the current displacement load is safe. Practice shows that the system of effective monitoring of the pipe frost heave and thaw settlement plays an important role in ensuring the safe operation of long-distance pipelines in permafrost regions.
