各市、州、县人民政府,省直机关各单位:为了充分调动全省人民投身改革开放和经济建设的积极性,更好地完成党的十五大提出的各项任务,实现我省跨世纪发展宏伟目标,省委、省人民政府决定,2000年“五一”国际劳动节前召开全省劳动模范和先进工作者表彰大会,表彰全省各行各业、各条战线在改革和建设中做出突出贡献的先进个人。召开全省劳动模范、先进工作者表彰大会是全省人民政治生活中的一件大事,涉及面广、政策性强。各级政府要高度重视,加强领导,精心组织;各有关部门要密切配合,共同做好宣传发动和评选推荐工作。现将有关事项通知如下:
