双语与对比语言学国际会议于2012年5月15日、16日在香港中文大学召开,由语言学及现代语言系儿童双语研究中心主办,人文学科研究院协办。本次会议为拓宽双语与对比语言学的研究视野创建了地区性和国际性的平台,是一次标志性的盛会。会上,六位主要发言人以及三位受邀的演讲者都做了不同领域的精彩演讲。华盛顿大学的Patricia Kuh1教授与宾夕法尼亚大学的William Labov均为美国国家科学院和美国科学促进会的成员。香港中文大
The International Conference on Bilingualism and Contrastive Linguistics was held on May 15 and 16, 2012 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is sponsored by the Children’s Bilingual Research Center for Linguistics and Modern Languages and co-organized by the Humanities Institute. This conference created a regional and international platform for broadening the research perspectives of bilingualism and comparative linguistics and is a landmark event. At the meeting, six key speakers and three invited speakers made wonderful speeches in different fields. Professor Patricia Kuh1 from Washington University and William Labov from the University of Pennsylvania are both members of the National Academies of Sciences and American Association for the Advancement of Science.
