近年来,国内外学者开始研究豆科绿肥植物的改土培肥的根系效应。美国学者F.E.Allison(1973)指出,“从绿肥植物上获得很重大的利益是通过它的根系实现的,特别是深根豆类如苜蓿,草木樨,羽扇豆和葛藤等,其根系效应更为突出……。”据陕西省农业科学院土肥所(1976)报导:把种过草木樨的土壤中的根系与根瘤全部拾走,剩下纯茬土种小麦,每盆生产小麦籽实293克,比未种过草木樨的同一土壤每盆生产小麦籽实205克,多收小麦籽实88克,增产38%。为此我们从1976年以来对草木樨根系及其效应作了一些较深入的观察和试验。现将研究方法、试验经过与初步结果简介如下。
