A.S. Byatt’s “Possession: A Romance” won her the Bucking Award for the highest prize in British literature in 1990. In this novel, the author portrays the reader a different image of a group of scholars of different ages in vivid language. The purpose of this article is to explore the true implications of possession on the subject by analyzing the character of the major characters in this novel.
