In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the domestic and foreign language teaching and learning circles heard and spoke of the leading law, emphasizing mechanical imitation and opposition to the mother tongue. However, despite repeated stress by teachers, students are still unconsciously comparing their foreign languages with Chinese and asking relevant questions from their teachers.
