党的十八大以来,我国职业教育事业进入了大发展、大变革的关键时期。十八届三中全会印发的《关于全面深化改革若干重大问题的决定》,对全面深化改革提出了明确要求。全面深化教育领域综合改革,就成为当前教育战线的一项重要任务。主要目标是:通过深化教育领域综合改革,实现教育事业科学发展;通过教育事业科学发展,更好地促进教育公平、优化教育结构、提高教育质量;通过促进公平、优化结构、提高质量,更好地为打造中国经济升级版、全面建成小康社会提供坚强有力的人才支撑和智力支持。
