Activation crystals of olivine structure with effective oscillation of chromium-magnesium-containing olivine when pumped in the near infrared region are widely used to obtain frequency-tuned laser radiation in the near-infrared region. The literature [1,2] shows that chromium-activated forsterite crystals Mg2SiO4 can be used to obtain laser in the 1130 ~ 1367mm band. We all know that there are many articles that use different pumping methods to get the forsterite.
