曲轴加工从车削转变为铣削大约花了20年时间。开始时,采用直径为800~900毫米的圆盘铣刀铣削连杆轴颈,用直径较小(400~600毫米)的圆盘铣刀或组合铣刀,以同样的方法加工主轴颈。在曲轴铣削加工的初期,普遍使用可重磨的镶齿刀具。近年来,可转位刀片的优点逐步为人们所认识,因此正在逐步推广使用镶有可转位刀片的刀具。过去机床厂只生产曲轴加工用的外圆铣床,最近又成功地研制出曲轴内圆铣床,这是一项重大的技术进步,同时也导致需要采用更经济合理的刀具。
Crankshaft machining from turning to milling took about 20 years. Initially, the connecting rod journal was milled with a disc cutter with a diameter of 800-900 mm, and the main journal was machined in the same way using a disc cutter or a combination cutter with a smaller diameter (400-600 mm). In the early days of crankshaft milling, it was common to use resharpening inserts. In recent years, the advantages of indexable inserts have gradually become known to the public, and therefore, the use of knives with indexable inserts is being promoted step by step. In the past, the machine tool factory only produced cylindrical milling machines for crankshaft machining. Recently, it successfully developed a crankshaft internal milling machine. This is a major technological advance and at the same time leads to the need for more economical and reasonable tools.
