一直遗憾地以为京剧“四大名旦”中,唯有苟慧生未曾留下保存他舞台艺术形象的影片。 然而,日前在上海淮海中路西侧“文华里会所”举行的《孙毓敏舞台生活五十年展演座谈会》上,上海戏曲学校退休编导、76岁的徐希博先生抱病前来播放的两部祖传黑白戏曲无声影片录像,不仅让笔者和其他来宾看到了苟慧生29岁时演出《埋香幻》、《钗头凤》的舞台艺术形象,而且还看到了同样拍摄于1929年的另几位京剧大师的宝贵电影镜头。
