Objective: To investigate the correlation between CD4 + CD25 + T cells and TGF-β1 (serum transforming growth factor-β1) in peripheral blood of patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Methods: The numbers of CD4 + CD25 + T cells and the expression of TGF-β1 in peripheral blood of 40 patients with non-small cell lung cancer were detected by flow cytometry and ELISA respectively. Results: The expression of CD4 + CD25 + T cells and TGF-β1 in non-small cell lung cancer patients was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The level of CD4 + CD25 + T cells in peripheral blood of patients with lung cancer is positively correlated with the expression of TGF-β1. Conclusion: The increase of CD4 + CD25 + T cells in peripheral blood of patients with non-small cell lung cancer may increase the expression of TGF-β1.
