中国人自古有栽植花木的习惯,对花木怀有一种特殊的情感。养花植草,不但可资药用,还可美化环境,陶冶人的性情,使人有以托物咏志,寄寓情感。因此,花在人的心目中似乎已不再是自然之物,而是已被人格化,可以与人相亲、与人为伴、与人为友。不过,在千姿百态、万紫千红的花的海洋中,人们并非一视同仁,而是有所偏爱,被誉之为花中四君子的梅兰竹菊就格外受到人们的青睐。
