Objective To investigate the role of Caspase-3 and P53 in the carcinogenesis of oral lichen planus and squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of Caspase-3 and P53 protein in 45 cases of oral lichen planus (lichen planus), 46 cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma (squamous cell carcinoma) and 15 cases of normal oral mucosa (control group) Compare. Results Caspase-3 protein expression was significantly higher in the lichen planus (71.11%) than in the squamous cell carcinoma (47.83%) (P <0.05), but lower than that in the control group (93.33%) (P <0.05) (P <0.05). Caspase-3 protein was negatively correlated with P53 protein (r = 0.339, P = 0.021), and the positive expression rate of Caspase-3 protein was significantly higher than that of the control group and the lichen planus group (78.26% . Conclusions Caspase-3 protein can inhibit the development of oral lichen planus and squamous cell carcinoma, and P53 protein plays an important role in its development.
