山西大同市新荣区是一个在落后远郊县的基础上组建的新区。区委书记董志刚自担任区长起,10年如一日,工作求精务实,全区作风为之发生悄然变化,各项工作风生水起。该区从一个拖欠公务员工资的贫困区一举跨入到山西省“富民强区”的先进行业。特别是,董志刚同志心装群众冷暖,践行“为民服务”诺言,开创了和谐的工作局面。在个别地方发生侵害老百姓利益,而导致干群关系紧张的情况下,他被当地群众主动要求留任,深受群众爱戴,其融洽的干群关系更是弥足珍贵。
