5月5日,人民日报、光明日报同时刊登了“十大杰出青年评选揭晓”的消息,两相对照,优劣自见。既是报道评选结果,读者最关心的当然是些什么人入选。但人民日报采用的新华社稿,仅仅在“棋圣聂卫平名题榜首”后简单罗列了其他九名当选者的名字。对这些人因何贡献得以榜上有名一字未提,却用大半文字去讲评选活动的意义和读者对这次活动的反映,内容平淡、空泛。对大多数读者来说,这“十大杰出青年”除个别人外,并不是人人皆知的人物,做一点简单介绍绝非多余,不然,看了这则消息,仍是知其名不知其“实”,弄不清这些人究竟为什么会成为“杰出青年”,岂不扫兴。
