Since the first round of revision, the length of the book has always been the subject of attention. As for a volunteer book, after the data collection work has been basically completed and the first draft has been written, with a clearer understanding of the situation, one word number can be defined and the number of words can be assigned to each chapter. The number of words is an approximate number of words, with the process of preparation can be properly adjusted. The number of control words in a book should be distinguished from the number of words prescribed in a large area. It is not advisable to stipulate the number of words in a large area in a rigid manner. Some academic freedom should be given as long as we grasp the principle of “enriching and refining” and implement it in a concrete and practical way.
