教育部2003年颁布的《普通高中英语课程标准(实验)》(以下简称《新课标》)要求学生掌握的词汇量显著增加。《新课标》语言技能目标(八级)要求高中学生“学会使用3300个左右的单词和400~500个习惯用语或固定搭配”。此外,《新课标》对词汇的要求不止于认识和记忆,还在于运用和表达;更值得注意的是:《新课标》还将词汇学习策略纳入到英语系统教学内容中来。因此,英语教师要充分地认识到,词汇教学在整个中学英语学习阶段的重要地位;认识到词汇教学的改革与创新对推进整个英语新课程改革的重要意义。
The “General High School English Curriculum Standard (Experiment)” promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2003 (hereinafter referred to as the “New Curriculum Standards”) requires that students acquire more vocabulary. “New Curriculum” language skills target (eight) requires high school students “learn to use about 3300 words and 400 to 500 idioms or fixed with ”. In addition, the requirements of the New Curriculum for vocabulary are not only for understanding and remembering, but also for applying and expressing. What is more notable is that the New Curriculum Standard also incorporates vocabulary learning strategies into the teaching of English systems. Therefore, English teachers should fully realize that vocabulary teaching plays an important role in the whole English learning stage of secondary school, and recognize that the reform and innovation of vocabulary teaching are of great significance to advancing the reform of the new English curriculum.
