构造地质学是当今地球科学中最活跃的一门学科。在宏观构造领域中,板块构造研究从大洋转向大陆、变形大地构造学的兴起、大陆岩石圈深部构造的揭示(滑脱及薄皮构造)等等,促使地质学家们重新考虑地球岩石圈演化这一根本问题;在微观构造领域中,超微构造研究的突破,又使我们把地壳及上地幔岩石变形和晶格内部的位错运动结合起来,正如我们通过研究原子结构来了解物体本质一样。
Structural geology is one of the most active disciplines in geoscience today. In the field of macrostructure, the research of plate tectonics has turned from the ocean to the mainland, the rise of deformed tectonism, the revelation of the deep lithospheric structure of the mainland (slippage and thin skin) and so on, prompting geologists to reconsider the evolution of the earth’s lithosphere The fundamental problem; in the field of microstructure, breakthroughs in the study of ultrastructure allow us to combine the crustal and deformation of the upper mantle with the dislocation motion inside the lattice just as we study the structure of the atom to understand the nature of the object.
