京沪高速铁路全线开工4月18日上午,京沪高速铁路全线开工。京沪高铁自北京南站至上海虹桥站,新建双线铁路全长1318公里,是世界上一次建成线路最长、标准最高的高速铁路,是新中国成立以来一次投资规模最大的建设项目。它贯穿北京、天津、河北、山东、安徽、江苏、上海七省市,连接环渤海和长江三角洲两大经济区,设计时速350公里,总投资2209.4亿元,总工期为5年左右。项目建成后,乘坐火车从北京至上海只需要5个小时。

After the project is completed, only 5 hours by train from Beijing to Shanghai.
