The development of the single sector in the Soviet Union’s tourism economy will inevitably lead to changes in the regional structure of the tourism system as a whole and changes in the location of tourist systems and facilities. Of course, the degree of change in different tourist areas is different. The quantitative growth of tourism systems and facilities will stimulate new geographical developments and stimulate the specialization and centralized development of tourist systems and facilities and the evolution of belt types. This means that new zones are likely to form, and the boundaries of the emerging zones may also change, with sub-level tourism geographies in many areas. All these changes and trends are reflected in the zonal development of tourism (see table, figure).
