To assess the QT cardiogram-induced QT prolongation and ventricular arrhythmia due to intravenous administration of erythromycin lactobionate, we administered intravenous erythromycin to seven consecutive critically ill pneumonia patients. All patients were admitted to a university hospital’s intensive care unit. Erythromycin was recorded as a short time before and after infusion of QTc time limit, but also record the biochemical analysis of blood, hemodynamic variables, arrhythmia, and combined medication. At least 10 cardiac cycles were evaluated by two experienced investigators on the electrocardiogram, although they did not know the timing of administration.
