人最宝贵的是生命,对于每个人来说,生命只有一次。而对于我来说,是党的关怀使我战胜了凶恶的病魔,获得了第二次生命。我是文革后第一批考入大学的学生,毕业后除了在地质队工作过8个多月外,在中国科学院这个大家庭中已经学习和工作了近20年,取得了硕士和博士学位。我生命中创造力最强的岁月是在这个大家庭中度过的,同时深深地感受了这个大家庭的温暖。受益于院的改革政策,我于1993年12月经院特批晋升为研究员,第二年5月被任命为广州地球化学研究所的副所长,成为当时中科院资源环境类研究所中最年轻的所级干部之一。1997年11月,我又被任命为中科院广州分院和广东省科学院的院长兼党组书记,成为当时分院一级最年轻的党政正职,上任之时,正逢我国进一步深化科技体制改革,有大量的工作需要我们去做。1999年我当选为国际
