As an important port for China’s natural rubber imports, Qingdao imported 28.3% of the country’s total natural rubber exports from January to July 2010, accounting for 29.6% of the country’s total imports. The main sources of supply were from the ASEAN countries. In the first seven months of this year, Qingdao Port imported 278500 tons of natural rubber from ASEAN, accounting for 98.6% of the total imports of natural rubber, accounting for 28.7% of the total natural rubber imported from ASEAN, an increase of 8.5% over the same period of last year.
