清人刘熙载《艺概·文概》中云:“章法不难于续而难于断。……明断正取暗续也。”这里所说的“明断暗续”,正是散文写作常用的章法之一。所谓“明断暗续”,就是从表面看,文章叙述中断,舍此言彼,乍看似乎散漫离題;而实际上,一脉贯通,万象归宗,深思无不紧扣中心。这脉,就是叙写的线索,或者蕴含的主旨。它好比绣女的眼光,骑手的缰辔。只因眼光不走,才能抛针掷线;由于缰辔在手,才敢跨坡跃澜。“明断”,有充实内容、开拓新境之功;“暗续”,有引导思路,深入奥堂之效。文章若得这种断续之妙,则(?)阖自如,迭宕有致,丰盈集中,浑然一体。应该说,深得断续三昧,乃是散文佳作历久弥新的主要原
