Uzbekistan’s surface water distribution is uneven, there is no river in the vast plains or lakes, foothills and mountains are criss-cross the river network. Many streams originate in the mountains of snow and glaciers, then pass into larger rivers, into plains or valleys, or disappear into the foothills.
