In sulfuric acid (1 + 1) medium, Pd (Ⅱ) catalyzes the discoloration of acidic chrome blue K by hydrogen peroxide. The optimum reaction conditions were studied and a new catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace palladium was established. The method has a limit of detection of 5 97 × 10 4 - μg / mL. The linear range was 5 97 × 10 4 - 2 60 × 10 -2 μg / mL.
