Elderly is considered one of the risk factors for poor prognosis of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). However, the relationship between age and clinical features at admission, the medical conditions before SAH, and the prognosis of SAH is still lack of systematic the study. The question of whether age itself has a direct effect on prognosis is not known. This paper collects data from 906 patients admitted to 21 neurosurgery centers in the United States and Canada for SAH and is divided into five groups by age: ≤40 years old, 41-50 years old, 51-60 years old, 61-70 years old, and> 70 years old . The results showed that the average age of 906 cases was 50 years old, of which> 60 years accounted for 23%, more common in all age groups of women. There was no difference in the time from SAH admission to admission, but there was a significant correlation between age and consciousness at admission (P = 0.0002). The incidence of unconsciousness at admission was 12% in cohorts, 18% in 41-50 years old, 60% of the total 24%, 61 to 70% of 24%,> 70
