一、引言多元文化教育是20世纪60、70年代西方国家民权运动催生的产物,目的在于培养学习者的文化平等意识和进入多元文化世界的适应力和发展力。就外语教育而言,其主要目标之一就是培养学习者的多元文化意识和跨文化交际能力。此目标的实现在很大程度上取决于教材内容,特别其文化取向,因为教材包含并传播与社会权威知识、价值和观念系统相符合的隐性知识,在一定程度上影响教师和学生的社会
I. INTRODUCTION Multicultural education is a product of the birth of the civil rights movement in western countries in the 1960s and 1970s with the purpose of cultivating learners’ awareness of cultural equality and adaptability and development in entering the multicultural world. As far as foreign language education is concerned, one of its main goals is to cultivate learners’ multi-cultural awareness and intercultural communication skills. The realization of this goal depends to a large extent on the content of teaching materials, especially its cultural orientation, because teaching materials contain and disseminate tacit knowledge in conformity with the social authority knowledge, value and concept system, to a certain extent, affect the society of teachers and students
