荆浩在中国山水画史上的地位是有目共睹的,中国的山水画萌芽于魏晋时期,但是唐末五代时期山水画才出现转折开始走向成熟。荆浩就是这转折的关键人物,他在《山水诀》中说:“吴道子画山水,有笔而无墨。项荣有墨而无笔。吾当采二子之所长,成一家之体。”的确,他总结了前代山水画家的经验,创作《笔法记》,为山水画的发展作出了杰出的贡献。
Jing Hao’s position in the history of Chinese landscape painting is obvious to all. The landscape painting in China sprouted in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. However, the turn of landscape painting in the late Tang and Five Dynasties began to mature. Jing Hao is the key figure in this turning point. He said in “Shan Shui Jue”: “Wu Daozi painted landscapes with pen but no ink. In fact, he summed up the experience of the previous generation of landscape painters and created the ”Notes of Writing Method", making an outstanding contribution to the development of landscape painting.
