Tongji University School of Architecture and Urban Planning has gone through 60 years. These 60 years are the accumulation and dissemination of modern architectural thought. They are the insistence and belief on the modern scientific spirit and the fulfillment and practice of social responsibility. The college has trained not only generations but also a large number of major projects and at the same time upheld the academic spirit and social ideals of “Tongji Architecture”. The college is a 60-year researcher, witness and participant in urban construction in China. We review the road of a Koshijo building that can clearly sort out the process from creation to development to maturity and discover the spiritual core of Tongji architecture. In the thematic essay, the article by Academician Zheng Shiling traces the modern architectural consciousness of “Tongji School ”, explores “Tongji School ” on the history of modern Chinese architecture
