JDF已经成为印刷流程的关键词,CIP4让人们对印刷的未来充满憧憬。将来的印刷业将进一步淡化工业化色彩,增加更多的信息产业成分。人员素质将提高,数量将精减,业务流程模式将发生革命性的变化。目前,数字化工作流程在欧美国家的应用情况要好于国内,已经从印前阶段扩展到印刷和印后整个的生产过程,基于网络的远程打样、远程文件传输等也逐步普及。而国内的数字化工作流程应用还基本上局限于配合CTP系统
