During orthodontic movement, the vascular response is one of the important processes of alveolar bone remodeling and periodontal connective tissue rearrangement. In both morphology and function, many scholars have conducted animal experiments (rats and cats) on changes of gingival tissue flow caused by orthodontic movement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tooth movement on periodontal blood flow. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Ten patients (average age, 24.3 years) and 9 children (mean age, 10.5 years) with maxillary incisors clearance were selected, including 11 males and 8 females. Positive measurements were made with a laser flow sensor (ALF2100, Advance co, Tokyo, Japan)
