In this paper, several milk solid beverages produced in Guangdong area were analyzed and animal experiments were conducted. Ten male weanling rats (eight in Group 3) were used in each group and rice and 6% soybean powder were used as the basic feed. The positive control group added 12% whole milk powder to the basic feed; the negative control group only consumed the basic feed. The four experimental groups consisted of basic feed supplemented with 35% North buckwheat milk extract (Group 3), 35% coconut milk yoghurt (Group 4), 35% coconut milk (Group 5) and 35% malt protein powder (Group 6). With the exception of group 6, feed protein levels in each group ranged from 8.2 to 8.9%. Free to eat, single cage for four weeks. The rat’s growth effects, food titers (FE), grams of body weight per gram of protein, and hemoglobin, serum albumin, liver nitrogen, and liver weight were compared. The results showed that the rats in the positive control group had a net weight gain of 142.3g, a negative control group of 98.2g, and groups 3 to 6 were 81.2g, 90.1g, 79.9g and 55.7g, respectively. The difference between the positive control group and each experimental group was extremely significant (P<0.001). The consumption of feed, food titer, and grams of body weight per gram of food protein showed that the positive and negative controls were also higher than the four experimental groups. The average serum albumin positive control group was 3.4 g/dl, and the four experimental groups were 2.5 to 2.7 g/dl (P<0.001). No significant difference was found in hemoglobin and hepatic nitrogen in each group. Liver weight varies with body weight and is also significantly higher in the control group than in other groups.
