The rapid colorimetric method described in this article is based on the color change generated when anhydrous copper sulfate absorbs water. In a 100 ml dry cylinder with abrasive plug, 50 ml of solvent to be analyzed are added, followed by the addition of 2 g of dehydrated copper sulphate. The contents are then carefully shaken and left for 2 minutes.
