厦门台商投资区是1989年5月经国务院批准设立的国家级外商投资区,包括厦门海沧、集美、杏林3个台商投资区。经过10多年的发展,厦门台投区已经发展成为吸引台资、开展两岸贸易与接受台湾产业转移等方面的重要基地。从实践看,在条件适宜的情况下,实施有关地方已经提出的、把厦门台商投资区升级为海峡两岸经贸合作试验区的构想,从而使台商投资区转入新的发展阶段。
Xiamen Taiwanese Investment Zone is a state-level foreign investment zone approved by the State Council in May 1989, including three Taiwanese investment zones including Haicang, Jimei and Xinglin in Xiamen. After more than 10 years of development, Taiwan Taitai District has become an important base in attracting Taiwanese investment, carrying out cross-Strait trade and accepting Taiwan’s industrial transfer. From a practical point of view, under appropriate conditions, the concept put forward by the relevant local authorities to upgrade the Taiwan-based investment zone of Xiamen into a pilot area for cross-Strait economic and trade cooperation was put into effect, so that the investment zone of Taiwanese businessmen could be brought to a new stage of development.
