The Institute of Building Materials Science of Quanzhou Research Institute has developed a production process for producing porous sintered gravel by using dry drainage and wet drainage of coal. In the Soviet Union, the first use of this new process was the Destroyström fly ash sinter gravel plant. They use fly ash aqueous suspension (mud) as a raw material to produce porous sintered gravel. The process consists of concentrating the suspension directly from the thermal power plant into the plant’s thickener, and then transporting it to the chain mixer, while at the same time injecting the clay slurry into the Stir in the mixer and feed the stirred clay fly ash suspension into tray
