邮电通信已成为当今社会不可或缺的信息交流工具。走在街头,大哥大、BP机随处可见,住宅电话或已是寻常之物。然而,仅仅在八十年代初期,山西通信还十分薄弱。由于通讯不畅,人们打个电话往往急得“喊破嗓子、摔掉帽子、钻下桌子”;曾发生过农民背上干粮进城打长途的事。 改革开放以来,特别是进入“八五”时期,山西邮电部门锐意进取,负债经营,在近六年内投资58亿元,是建国以来42年投资总和的9倍,大打通信翻身仗,使山西邮电通信面貌在短时间内发生了脱胎换骨的变化。通信能力技术层次、服务水平都产生了质的飞跃,形成了有线无线交汇、国内国际贯通的立体交叉通信网。
Post and telecommunications has become an indispensable tool for information exchange in today’s society. Walking in the streets, big brother, BP machine can be seen everywhere, residential telephone or is something unusual. However, Shanxi Telecom was still weak in the early 1980s. Because of poor communications, people often anxious to make phone calls, “shout throats, fall off hats, drill down the table.” There have been peasants carrying dried grains back into the city to make long-distance traffic. Since the reform and opening up, especially in the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period, the post and telecommunications department in Shanxi Province has been determined to make progress and runs its debt business. It invested 5.8 billion yuan in the past six years, which is 9 times the total investment in 42 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In the short period of time, the appearance of post and telecommunications has undergone changes. Communication technology and technical level, service levels have produced a qualitative leap, formed a wired and wireless convergence, domestic and international three-dimensional cross-communications network.
