棉铃虫是作物的一大害虫。在锦州地区它遍及整个棉区,沿海平原的高粱穗部也经常受害,严重地威胁着棉、粮生产。为了解决虫害问题,绥中县宽帮公社、北镇县闾阳公社、锦县三台公社总结过去的经验教训。贯彻“预防为主,综合防治”方针,开展群测群治,采取“主攻成虫、大战卵期、扫荡幼虫”的综合防治措施,取得了很好的防治效果。他们的主要经验是:
