采用Ⅲ-Ⅴ族化合物半导体技术的集成光电子学预期能为电子数字系统中的互连与信号处理提供新的技术,从而利用光学技术的诸如高数据传输速率和高并行度之类的优点解决数据通讯与处理方面的布线限度问题。光学互连器件是这项工作的关键,目前正在开展的研制工作将不仅可以用多路传输方法传输大量数据,而且还可以提供灵活的互连功能。本文概略地介绍了光学互连和信号处理系统用的集成光电子学技术的作用和现状。
Integrated optoelectronics using Group III-V compound semiconductor technology are expected to provide new technologies for interconnection and signal processing in electronic digital systems to address the advantages of optical technologies such as high data rates and high parallelism Communication and processing aspects of wiring constraints. Optical interconnects are the key to this effort and ongoing research efforts will not only deliver large amounts of data using multiplexed methods but also provide flexible interconnect capabilities. This article provides an overview of the role and current status of integrated optoelectronics for optical interconnects and signal processing systems.
