崇文区疾病预防控制中心地处于北京市中心城区,1999年在全市率先实施卫生监督体制改革、人事制度改革,实行全员聘用制。2001年正式更名为崇文区疾病预防控制中心。改革后的疾病预防控制中心各项事业突飞猛进发展,2003年新建业务办公楼落成,总建筑面积6600m2,检验用房3300m2;业务用房2200m2;管理用房1100m2。内设百级实验室、温控室、艾滋病初筛实验室和麻疹网络实验室。各种检测(验)仪器设备159台,其中万元以上大型仪器设备33台(件),价值约500余万元。中心分别通过了职业健康体检、职业危险因素监测与评价认证和计量认证。中心设有疾病预防控制科、监测评价科、消毒科、健康教育科、健康体检科、检验科、结核病防治科、性病防治科、卫生防病咨询服务站、综合办公室10个科室。现有职工108人,业务人员83人,其中高级职称10人、中级职称26人、硕士生5人,本科生25人。2004年崇文区政府高度重视公共卫生事业的发展,投资建设面积500m2全国地、市级唯一的“崇文区卫生防病应急中心”,并在卫生局统一领导下建立了由指挥部、信息组、疫情组、热线组、后勤保障组、医疗救治、卫生监督组成的科学、规范的应急体系,实现了体系健全、指挥有力、功能适宜、信息畅通、反应敏捷、依法行政、运行高效的总体目标,成为全国公共卫生工作中的一大亮点。
