城东有一群人,他们每天要匆匆忙忙地赶到城西去上班。城西也有一群人,他们每天都要到城东去办事。假如我居住在城市的中心,那么我每天都会看见这两拨面色忧郁的人,看他们心急火燎地开车,满地打转地等车,或者在地铁捷运上怨气冲天。我很理解他们的怒火和焦急,就像我经常地为一件日复一日困扰我的事忿忿不平。我知道这就是生活的难题,比如路怒症,比如焦虑症。很多人说:当生活向你关闭一扇门时会同时打开另外一扇门,可是当我们觉得生活是迷宫
There is a group of people in the east of the city, who rush to the west of town daily to work. There are also a group of people in the west of the city. They go to the east of the city every day to do business. If I live in the center of the city, I see these two dial-tone people everyday, watching them drive edgy, spinning around and waiting for a ride, or complaining about the Metro MRT. I understand their anger and anxiety very much, just as I often am upset about a matter that plagues me day after day. I know this is life’s problems, such as road anger, such as anxiety. Many people say that when life closes a door to you, it opens another door at the same time, but when we think life is a maze
