2002年,老百姓普遍关心的事情之一莫过于车子了。可等到年底时才发现,听惯了车子都要“大降价”的我们非但没有在2002年止住车的热情,甚至对车涨价的“反常”现象视而不见。这样的“反常”还出现在保险及钢铁行业里。在洋保险还没有来时,不光是预言家危言耸听,就是那些自认为代表老百姓呼声的人,也煞有其事表示,洋保险打倒土保险似乎是早晚的事。但2002年的情况给了持这种想法的人一个绝大的讽刺。洋保险的“西洋拳”非但没有伤着土保险,自己反而因为“出拳”不慎让自己有点受伤,甚至出现了临时退场的尴尬。钢铁行业也跟保险业大同小异,不过其遭遇更多则像农业。在2002年,钢铁行业遭遇了前所未有的“列强”排挤。以美国为首的列强对中国的钢铁怕之入骨又恨之入骨。只能扛起贸易保护条例来强堵他人的嘴。在农业上则是我们自己不小心,以为他们要进来,其实是他们不想让我们去,于是搞出些“绿色壁垒”来折腾中国的农民。从车子到保险,从钢铁到大蒜,中国在2002年的表现提醒了预言家,其实我们已经干得不错了。我们不该一味地想在加入 WTO 后别人如何在国内“欺负”我们,而要想我们已经有能力在他们的领地上“征服”他们了。
