1985年第一个教师节时,固始县人民政府、教育局决定给固始高中办点实事——盖一幢可容纳30户居住的教师宿舍楼.于1987年8月底胜利竣工,经验收交付使用.教职工听到这一消息,欣喜雀跃.不少教师希望能早日迁进新居. 我认为把这件事在教师节期间报道出去,是个鼓舞人心的新闻,它体现了党和政府对知识分子的深切关怀.于是,就抢了最佳报道时间,在9月8日上午写了“固始高中三十户教师喜迁新居”的报道,一式两份,一份送县人民广播站,一份发往《信阳报》.因为是应时稿件,经编辑部略加修改都先后发表了.固始县广播站连续播音三次。
