The introduction of digital computers in the geophysical industry interrupted the normal processes between the acquisition and interpretation of data, mainly because the on-site geophysical personnel were unable to control in a timely manner the daily problems associated with access to data. Small computers in the field have restored the idea of putting problem-solving tools on the scene of a problem, and this simple idea has until recently been puzzled by several economic technical problems. Between 1960 and 1965, most geophysical companies transitioned the acquisition and processing of data from analog to digital. Undoubtedly, this transition has resulted in significant improvements in equipment and technology. Geophysical data processing complexity
