我們写作小組成立已經两年了。两年来,我們共写出杂文、通訊、消息、經驗总結等八百多篇,这些文章在帮助县委推动和指导中心工作、教育干部和群众等方面,都起了一定的作用。人們对这些文章是欢迎的,許多基层干部都說:“一接到报紙就是找‘众志文’的文章看”。大家都知道“众志文”的文章是代表县委的意見的,因此,对这些文章特別关心。两年来,在边做、边学、边写作的过程中,鍛炼了我們写作小組的成員,使我們的写作能力大大提高了。我們县委大部分是工农出身的干部,过去不会写,怕写。现在,大家都能动动笔杆了,这是我們极大的收获。过去,我們有不少同志是埋头做工作,不善于把丰富的实践經驗总結起来。做起工作来,往往只凭經驗办事。对于总結經驗写文章,都抱着神秘观点,认为写文章是“秀才”的事。因此,当县委酝酿成立写作小組的时候,不少的同志提意見把写作小組的笔名定为“秀才文”。县委組織部副部长耿守賢同志就說:
