2月26日,中国科学院发布了《关于科学理念的宣言》,《宣言》从科学的价值、科学的精神、科学的道德准则、科学的社会责任四个方面诠释了科学理念。《宣言》指出,在变革、创新与发展的时代,在中华民族实现伟大复兴的历史进程中,必须充分发挥科学的力量。这种力量,既来自科学和技术作为第一生产力的物质力量,也来自科学理念作为先进文化的精神力量。《宣言》倡议科技界广大同仁共同践行正确的科学理念,承担起科学的社会责任,为建设创新型国家、构建社会主义和谐社会做出无愧于历史的贡献。《宣言》的发布,对于端正科学理念,树立正确的科学价值观,恪守科学伦理和道德准则,营造和谐学术生态,将具有重要的意义和作用。什么是科学理念?每一位科学家都有其自己在科学研究生涯中的理解和在实践中身体力行的诠释,并从不同的角度丰富着科学理念的内涵,升华着人类的精神境界。《宣言》发布后,来自科学界、知识界的一些学者从不同的角度对《宣言》进行了思考、分析和探讨。为此,本刊围绕《宣言》刊出了一组文章,既摘编了我国一些著名科学家以往对科学的价值、科学的精神、科学的道德准则和科学的社会责任的思考与感悟,同时也有来自科学界和知识界的讨论甚至质疑,期望给读者和广大科学工作者带来更多的启示。
On February 26, the Chinese Academy of Sciences promulgated the “Declaration on Scientific Ideas,” which expounds scientific concepts from four aspects: the value of science, the spirit of science, the moral code of science, and the social responsibility of science. The “Declaration” pointed out: In the era of reform, innovation and development, we must give full play to the strength of science in the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. This force comes not only from the material strength of science and technology as the primary productive force but also from the spiritual power of advanced science as a scientific concept. The “Declaration” initiative calls for the vast numbers of colleagues in the scientific and technological community to jointly practice the correct scientific concept, undertake scientific social responsibilities, and make historic contributions to building an innovative nation and building a harmonious socialist society. The promulgation of the “Declaration” will have an important meaning and effect for correcting scientific concepts, establishing correct scientific values, abiding by scientific ethics and moral principles, and creating a harmonious academic ecology. What is a scientific concept? Every scientist has his own understanding in the career of scientific research and practice in practice interpretation, and from different angles to enrich the connotation of scientific philosophy, the sublimation of human spiritual realm. After the “Declaration” was released, some scholars from the scientific and intellectual circles have given thought, analyzed and discussed the Declaration from different angles. To this end, the magazine around the “Declaration” published a series of articles, both excerpts of some well-known Chinese scientists value of science in the past, the spirit of science, scientific ethics and scientific social responsibility thinking and perception, but also from The discussion between the scientific community and the intellectual community has even questioned and expected to bring more enlightenment to the readers and the general scientific workers.
