我们高一时的口语外教,是个年轻的美国女孩。在大家作自我介绍时,前排的一位女生一开口就一句“You look beautiful”(你看起来真美),让全班哄堂大笑。我这才下意识地把注意力从她的语音转到她的容貌上。应该说她是个典型的美国女孩:如牛奶般白的肌肤以及一头金黄色的短发。最为漂亮的是一双明亮有神的眼睛和从中流露出的真诚温和的目光。也许这种相貌在美国算是十分平凡的,然而这样一个看起来舒服,还很有亲和力的外国女孩却很讨我们的喜欢。应该说这位“老师”有些腼腆,没有其他那些外教那样放得开。在被一位学生要求谈谈她对布什总统的看法时,她却面带微笑柔柔地回
Our senior foreign teacher is a young American girl. When everyone introduced himself, the front row of a girl uttered a “You look beautiful” and made the whole class laugh.
