中国花卉协会荷花分会从1987年起在济南市组办首届全国荷展至20世纪末,已连办了13届。第14届全国荷展定于2000年6月23日至7月23日在刚刚回归祖国的澳门举行,试就本届荷展的特点简介如下:一、具有重要的历史意义。荷花是吉祥圣洁的象征,澳门素有“荷花圣地”、“荷花福地”之称,澳门的区旗、区徽选用荷花为图案,澳门人对荷花怀有特殊的感情。时逢千禧年,在澳门举办全国性荷展,反映祖国大家庭和睦团结,让澳门尽情洋溢回归后的喜悦心情,让大陆人民以荷为媒表达对澳门发展前景的良好愿望。此举,意义重大。
Lotus Association of China Flower Association since 1987 organized in Jinan City, the first national Dutch show to the end of the 20th century, has even set up the 13th. The 14th National Dutch Exhibition will be held from June 23 to July 23, 2000 in Macao, just returning to the motherland. The brief introduction of this festival is as follows: First, it has an important historical significance. Lotus is a symbol of good fortune and holiness. It is known as “Holy Land of Lotus” and “lotus blessed land” in Macao. The regional flag of Macao and the regional emblem use lotus as its motif. Macaoans cherish special feelings towards the lotus. At the time of the new millennium, a nationwide Dutch exhibition will be held in Macao to reflect the harmonious unity of the extended family of the motherland so that Macao will enjoy the joy of returning to the motherland and allow the Chinese people to express their good wishes to the development prospects of Macao with the Netherlands as their medium. This move is of great significance.
